Day 10: Declaration of Independence Mural

Begun in 1984 as part of an anti-graffiti effort, Philadelphia's Mural Arts Program has resulted in wonderful works of art on buildings throughout the city.

This shot at 15th & Arch Streets shows "Declaration of Independence" by Philadelphia artist Peter Pagast.

That almost looks 3 dimensional - but I don't think it is? At any rate, I like it!

That is gorgeous Maggie -- it's painted on, then, right? Wow.

I just got caught up reading all your posts - wow - I think I love Philadelphia! I didn't really have a clear picture in my head (other than National Treasure and Ben Franklin) but it looks like a beautiful place, and very clean.
I especially like the parks in the city.
